Friday’s show will be hosted by Derrick O’Keefe and Jahanzeb Hussain. We’ll check in with Matthew Millar of The Vancouver Observer, about his latest report on Christy Clark’s potential corporate conflicts of interests.
We’ll also air the latest from progressive economist Michal Rozworski, who brings us two interviews on the relationship between the labour and environmental movements. Michal’s conversations this week are with Marc Lee of the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives and Karen Cooling, a long-time labour and climate activist.
And we’ll go to Quebec to hear about a fundraiser currently underway to support an upcoming 34-day, 700 kilometre walk against tar sands pipelines. And, finally, we’ll preview an event marking the 12th anniversary of the failed coup against the democratic government of Hugo Chavez in Venezuela. Gisela Gabriela Lara Toro will join us in studio to preview an evening of Bolivarian music and politics, happening Sunday, April 13 at the Anza Club.
