27:45 Immigration Detainees Go on Hunger Strike to Highlight Canada’s Disturbing Detention Policy #MigrantStrike. Lindsay Detention Centre and the Toronto East Detention Centre – Day 4: Around 60 people in two max security jails continue to be on hunger strike. Between Tuesday night and Thursday morning, many of the detainees have been in their cells for all but six hours. This is an attempt to break morale and force the detainees to end the strike. Please support by calling Minister Goodale’s office again, even if you have once already, and signing our petition. At 1230pm MST (2:30pm EST), there’s a picket at Minister Goodale’s office in Regina.
